The critically acclaimed Bon Appétit Restaurant has been bringing exquisite cuisine, top-notch service, and breathtaking views to Dunedin and Tampa Bay since opening on the coastline in 1976. Guests enjoy panoramic views of St. Joseph’s Sound and a stunning vista that includes Honeymoon Island, Caladesi Island, and Clearwater Beach.
Featuring an award-winning menu with an emphasis on seafood and international cuisine, Chef Manuel Arevelo and his team focus on highlighting simple, fresh ingredients. Throughout the busy season (January – May), the kitchen team premieres special menu features – a testament to their creative eye and signature style. A full lunch and dinner menu is always available for both our indoor dining room, as well as our outdoor bar and marina café.
Eating outside at Bon Appétit is a quintessential component of the Dunedin experience. In addition to the welcome gulf breeze and abundance of adult beverages, you may even be joined by a pod of curious dolphins cruising the coast. Be sure to join us in the evening to take in the world-famous Dunedin sunset, either in this outdoor casual setting or our romantic main dining room.
In addition to regular lunch and dinner service, Bon Appétit is renowned for its fabulous events, led by our on-site events team. Weddings on the pier, private birthday parties, and holiday celebrations are just the tip of the iceberg. Nancy and her banquet staff have hosted everything from baby showers to celebrations of life, and everything in between. Several times a year, the events team works with our kitchen and management teams to put on spectacular holiday dinners for our guests – these include Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Day, New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Easter, and Father’s Day.
Centrally located in Pinellas County, Bon Appétit is nestled along Dunedin’s picturesque coastline overlooking St. Joseph’s Sound. Breathtaking views come standard with every seat, whether dining indoors or outdoors.

Christian was born and raised in Austria, has over 25 years experience in the hospitality industry and is one of the Front House Managers at Bon Appétit. After he completed his studies in Restaurant and Hotel Management, Christian decided he wanted to see more of the world. He began his hospitality career aboard cruise ships, managing Restaurant and Hotel operations. In 2002, Christian married his wife Penny and decided to trade the high seas for a home base in Port Richey, FL. When he’s not at Bon Appétit ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience, he enjoys spending time outdoors, at the beach, or traveling overseas.
